I'm back and better than ever!

I am blessed to have been through all that I have been through in the past year and a half.  In that time I went from being a self published Author to being signed to three companies.  The first one didn't work out.  Lesson learned.  No hard feelings.  The second one was good.  No issues.  It was with this one that I came on the scene  with The Imperfect  Love Series.  Now I am in a happy, peaceful space.  I feel that I am where I need to be for my career.  I have two new books coming out.  One is a collaboration with my publishing company mate Mike O.  The other is a story that I have been procrastinating  on writing for the longest.  I'm ready to learn the publishing business and engages in some behind the scenes activity.  Look out for me as I create new opportunities for myself

New beginnings

I am indeed blessed. A year and half after my first release I am still here. I love writing. It is my life. It's how I keep sane when I want to breakdown. I started out selfpublishing. I have 5 self published titles. My 6th and newest release is coming on September 6th. I recently signed with TBRS Publications. I never saw myself as a published author. I guess that's why they say never say never. I'm truly happy right now. I feel that I can only go to the top from here.

Frustrated!!!!!

It has come to my attention that a lot of unprofessional things are going around in the publishing industry. Author beefs and all kinds of madness. I try to stay out of all the foolishness but I just have a few words to say.

Just because you can type or write up a story it does not make you an author. Books are a business and should be treated as such. Writing a full length novel and pricing it for $.99 means that someone didn't do their homework. If I recall editing (good editing), graphic design, formatting is not cheap nor free (unless you can do all on your own) So considering the fees for these services why are some people comfortable with making $.30 for every book sold. Makes no sense to me

Personal problems with someone else are just that. Personal problems! There is no need for Social Media to be used when these problems occur. It gives people a bad name and look. It causes people to take sides. It also causes a lot of confusion and misinformation to be spread. If there is a problem then handle it like a grown woman or man.

I am so tired of people making claims to be editors, graphic designers and publishers but when it's time to put in work they got all these questions. Don't claim a title if you don't know the basics! You don't have to know everything but at least know the basics of the business you profess to be in.

I love social media and it makes me highly upset when people it to condemn people or business.

When will the madness end!!!

Author's Beware!

Tonight I am doing a live online show about scams in the publishing business. It has been going on for far too long. Authors have a lot to lose falling victim to these scams. Most of us are full time authors and depend on book sales and events to pay our bills and feed our families. How dare someone come along and think it is ok to take out hard earned money. Well I say no more! We as authors have to learn how to do business better. I have not been scammed (thankful to God for that) But I have been in situations where I was close. Common sense is not going to get you far with a con. Call (347) 633-9531 in tonight at 8pm to chat with me about this issue! ://www.blogtalkradio.com/corrae/2012/09/22/authors-bewareof-scams-mzsheribaby?fb_ref=.UFo1QFQOnMc.like&fb_source=other_multiline. Why because they talk and good game and they know how to walk it.
